Be among the first in America to audition for American Idol at Disney Springs, Thursday, Aug. 17.
This one day only event is the beginning of the American Idol open auditions. This will also kickstart the celebration of American Idol coming back to television next year on ABC. Guests will have the opportunity of a lifetime as they audition to be the next big superstar. There will also be guest appearances by Jordin Sparks, Kris Allen and Ruben Studdard.
Disney Springs will allow 4 a.m. parking that day only, with registration beginning at 6 a.m. and closing at 12 p.m. It is encouraged that everyone arrive early, but camping out will not be allowed. You can also pre-register online at americanidol.com. The capacity is limited to 4,000 participants who will wait their turn to sing their heart out.
If you are unable to make it to the official audition on the 17th, you can virtually audition at a pop-up kiosk. This kiosk will allow guests to submit a virtual audition to American Idol from Aug. 18 to Sept. 15.
American Idol used to be at Walt Disney World years ago in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. You can check out some of our videos from back when below.
