Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party photo preview

Here are a few pictures from Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party 2008 at the Magic Kingdom. Be sure to check out the upcoming October/November issue of Orlando Attractions Magazine for more pictures from the party and a full behind-the-scenes story on Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights.
As usual, Main Street is decked out for Halloween, including many of the window displays.
Mickey’s “Boo-to-You” Halloween parade is one of my favorites of the year. Here’s a look at the Haunted Mansion float. It looks like the hitchhiking ghosts got a ride.
New Halloween themed statues have been placed around the Partner’s statue near the castle. Each has a part that lights up at night from the inside.
The Cadaver Dans were singing some spooky songs in Liberty Square.
One of the highlights of the party was the Happy HalloWishes fireworks show.
This creepy ghost lady was sitting in the lawn of the Haunted Mansion talking to those who dared enter. But she was being more funny than scary.

In addition to what you’ve seen here, there were a couple of dance parties, a Villian’s Mix and Mingle stage show, many characters in their Halloween costumes and plenty of candy for trick or treaters of all ages.
Future parties are slated for Sept. 16, 19, 23, 26, 28, 30, and Oct. 2, 4, 5, 7, 9, 10, 13, 16, 19, 21, 23, 24, 26, 28, 30 and 31. So far, only Oct. 31 is sold out. To purchase advance tickets, call 407-W-DISNEY or visit disneyworld.com/halloween.

We’re going on Oct 10th – 3rd year in a row – in conjunction with celebrating my daughter’s birthday. I just hope it doesn’t rain this year!!

I’m going down for a work conference, but it will also be over my birthday, I’m going to the not so scary party..they are always a blast. If anyone has never been……..you are really missing out!

This says preview so does that mean they’ll be a complete review? w/ more pics? I hope so. Please put up Character pictures! those are my favorite w/all the different costumes and whatnot. also are there any exclusive characters like flounder/Sebastian @ pirate princess party?

We went to our first Not So Scary this year on its opening night, Sept 5th, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. Plenty of fun for kids and adults alike, we went in costume and had great interaction with cast members and other guests alike. The parade and fireworks shows were fantastic and we were so glad we didn’t miss it this year. A great time to take some unique pictures as well, everyone from guest to cast member we ready willing and able to take pictures of and with you. Not to be missed.

have not gone to scary halloween party by disney, but have been to their Christmas party two years in a row, nothing is comparable, its THAT wonderful.I am going to the Halloween party this year, looks great, I know we ll LOVE IT!
