Here’s a quick video of tonight’s nighttime Space Shuttle Endeavour launch as seen over a lake near Walt Disney World.
The video, shot with a pocket still camera, is not quite up to our regular standards – but it’s good enough to get an idea of what a night launch looks like from Orlando.

Thanks for posting it Matt, I wish I got to see a launch when I was there. When I went to Orlando a few times ago, we camped out on a bridge to see a launch from Kennedy. Only for them to pull the plug at 3 seconds to go on the countdown, such a surreal feeling in the air!

You never know. The last time there was a night launch I couldn’t see anything because of cloud cover.
