Below is the exciting announcement of the long-rumored Star Tours makeover featuring Stormtroopers, Darth Vader, and Jay Rasulo, chairman of Disney Parks & Resorts.
Details are scarce but you can read a little more about the announcement here.
Disney knows that by doing this, they will unleash the wrath of the fanboys onto themselves if they don’t have the ride open by Dec 31, right? Because I think that if they don’t have this open, there are going to be a lot of angry storm troopers standing outside of Star Tours on January 1st…
You know… I’ve had about enough podracing for a lifetime. I think one pod race is too much. I liked the original Star Tours because it wasn’t a clip show of the film, retreading the exact same territory, it had its own little angle and added some depth that you didn’t need to be a Star Wars fan to appreciate but was welcome if you were. I have my doubts about the new take.

It will be coming to both Walt Disney World and Disneyland. It was left out of the presentation but was confirmed later.
