At the Disney D23 Expo in Anaheim, Calif. on Sept. 13, 2009, Disney/Pixar’s John Lasseter gave a presentation in which he revealed new clips and information from upcoming films including “Toy Story 3″, “Rapunzel”, and the now-announced new hand-drawn “Winnie the Pooh” movie.

Following his presentation, Lasseter met with the media in a press conference to answer further questions. We wondered if elements from the new “Winnie the Pooh” film or “Rapunzel” would make their way into the Walt Disney World Fantasyland expansion announced by Disney Parks & Resorts yesterday. Here is Lasseter’s response:

The “Winnie the Pooh” film is due out in 2011 and “Rapunzel” will be released at the end of 2010. Most of the Fantasyland expansion will be complete in 2012, which leaves ample time for either to be integrated, if only in part, into the Magic Kingdom addition. It has been said that Pooh’s Playful Spot will likely be disappearing from the Magic Kingdom as part of the Fantasyland expansion but Imagineers are still designing the Pooh-themed replacement.
