We were able to talk with Alan Gilmore, the art director for two Harry Potter films and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, during the Entertainment Designers Forum last night.

As you’ll hear in our video below, he tells a few tidbits about The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal’s Islands of Adventure that we haven’t had confirmation on before. He lets us know that the whole ride-through part of Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey is a fly-along with Harry. He also said he believes Universal will have a soft opening for the new land sometime before June 18. We also ask him about a possible visit from author J.K. Rowling, the movie stars who’ll be at the grand opening, his thoughts on Web sites such as ours offering fans a peek over the construction walls, and more.
