The 31st Annual Dick Batchelor Run for the Children event will take place Jan. 28 at Universal Studios. More than 1,800 runners are expected to participate in the run for charity.

The 5k, or 3.1 mile, race is held each year to benefit the Howard Phillips Center for Children & Families and help raise awareness for children’s health, education, and safety. The Dick Batchelor Run is the Howard Phillips Center’s largest fundraising event. In its 30 year history, the race has generated more than $1 million to fund programs at the Center.

The unique race course allows participants a chance to race through iconic Universal landmarks, such as The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Runners can enjoy the scenery of both Universal theme parks and CityWalk during the event.
