Online version of Disney’s passholder newsletter reports new Pirates attraction coming to Hollywood Studios

According to the online version of Disney’s passholder newsletter, Mickey Monitor, a new Pirates of the Caribbean experience called ‘The Legend of Captain Jack Sparrow’ will debut this summer at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The article says the new walk-through attraction will have guests “enveloped by the world of the Pirates of the Caribbean as seen in the four feature films.”
In an interview with the Mickey Monitor, Jason Roberts, Walt Disney Imagineering Project Manager and Show Producer for the new attraction stated,
“This is going to be an immersive experience. We’ll really delve into the story of Captain Jack Sparrow and put our Guests in the middle of it all in new and exciting ways. “Story is always the most important thing for us at Walt Disney Imagineering,” Jason continued. “But we’re always looking at new ways to tell the story that our Guests have never seen before. In this attraction, we’ll let you walk in the footsteps of Jack Sparrow. “It’s not ‘the making of’, not ‘behind the scenes’ … it is really a firstperson experience.”
While few details have been released, the attraction is said to use state-of-the-art special effects and will be a “first-of-its-kind sensory experience in which guests will have the chance to be enveloped by the world of the Pirates of the Caribbean as seen in the four feature films.” It’s expected this attraction will be in the former Narnia exhibit near Toy Story Mania.
The story about the new attraction was omitted from the printed version of Mickey Monitor. In its place was a story about Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. It’s unknown if the story wasn’t ready before the press deadline or if the attraction has been delayed or canceled. Stay tuned to Orlando Attractions Magazine for more information.
UPDATE: Disney has posted a story on the Disney Parks Blog confirming this attraction is happening, but it is opening this fall instead of summer. It’s also been confirmed that the attraction will take place in the former Narnia soundstage.

Interesting in that the original POTC was supposed to be a walk through attraction!
And they ought to just forget about the 4th movie- we have…
