Video: The new Test Track brings a whole new way of testing the old track

Walt Disney World recently started previews of the new Test Track at Epcot this weekend for cast members and their guests. The new Test Track, or Test Track 2.0, while keeping the same track layout, now features all-new state-of-art visuals, refurbished ride vehicles and a new soundtrack as well.
The process starts in the queue where guests design their own cars that will be put to the test by getting scored on certain features while on the ride. The post-show continues the design process with further testing, branding, games and more. The new ride starts out with guests boarding their “SimCar” and riding through a digital world similar to that of the world of the Tron films.
While the attraction is still in a testing phase and isn’t complete yet, it is nearing competition with the opening only a few days away on Dec. 6. Check out a full ride through of the attraction below:

Absolutely awesome!
I was happy to hear that test track was getting a reboot, my first trip to Epcot was when Test rack was a new ride, and ever since then it just seemed year upon year that it needed enhancing
From the video the change looks spectacular!
How quickly can you use the designing aspects in the queue? Will this mean a lot longer wait time, with Test Track already being one of the more popular attractions in Epcot.
Look forward to riding it in the not so distant future!

Disney needs to stop messing up classic attractions. I understand rides need to be updated but this is a little overboard. I honestly thought the update would be great. I just don’t see the disney touch on this ride anymore. I might change my mind once I ride it but until then I am not find of this change.

I agreed that the exterior and interior of Test Track 2.0 have signified the way we look at a new generation of Disney attractions. But I felt concerned that like similar to the 2nd and 3rd version of Journey into Imagination, the only thing that feels like the original is the ride’s track and a bit of the atmosphere. Now, i’m not saying that the version 2.0 isn’t that bad, nor it compares itself to the Tron franchise but when it comes to updating an attraction, Disney must always update something that the FANS WANTED and even the loyal fans, as well, even if GM and Chevy have renewed their contract with the company. Now as I just witness on this YouTube clip, I had felt that this part of the ride feels like riding a light cycle, rather than a vehicle made by Disney and Chevrolet. But the intensity of this ride feels just perfect. Perfect as the original, and like Star Tours: The Adventures Continue, most good rides often ends with a bang! That and being driven around 65 mph around the pavilion. So I would recommend Test Track 2.0, as a expert of Disney Parks. Even if everything feels like a totally new and similar experience than the 1st one, (Long live the original presented by GM), the attraction’s intensity is still intact and remains unscathed as the original. So for all who’s reading this message, I would likely agreed that this version 2.0 MIGHT work out as Disney had originally planned. I give this ride overall: 9.1/10 but the intensity 10/10.

Before they updated it, Test Track, while a great ride, really didn’t belong in Future World. The original version was not futuristic because it was just like a modern day test track. THIS brings us into a future where a computer can simulate the way a car would perform out on the road without the need for a real car. For everyone that’s complaining, RELAX. The ride is really the same. It’s just futuristic.

New version doesn’t make any sense. Old version way better. The track is exactly the same with cheesy neon lights. Job horribly done. I will never buy gm or Chevy just from this ride alone
