Braves and Astros step up to the plate for spring training in the Orlando area

The Atlanta Braves and Houston Astros baseball teams will soon begin their spring training in the Orlando area. Over at Disney’s ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, the Braves spring training workouts begin on Feb. 15 for pitchers and catchers, with full-squad workouts beginning Feb. 19. For the Astros, spring training takes place at the Osceola County Stadium in Kissimmee, and all workouts are open and free to the public. Spring training workout for pitchers and catchers starts Feb. 16, along with the first full-squad workout on Feb. 20.

For the Braves, tickets are required to watch pre-season practices, with adult tickets priced at $13.50, and children tickets at $10. Daily practices will take place until March 3. Each Braves home game includes family-friendly experiences, like character appearances, as well as the opportunity for kids to run the bases after every game. For the Houston Astros, ticket prices for spring training games range from $15 to $24, with some special promotions available, as well, including a Florida Resident special and a “Two for $27” deal that includes two tickets, two hot dogs and two cokes.
