Get your forks and napkins ready, because the Guinness World Record for the World’s Largest Key Lime Pie was just shattered by a 12-foot pastry at last weekend’s 7th Annual Florida Key Lime Pie Festival on Florida’s Space Coast.
On Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018, the World’s Largest Key Lime Pie was prepared by Florida Key Lime Pie Company in a custom pie pan using a secret graham cracker crust recipe. 480 cups of graham cracker crust and over 12,800 ounces of key Lime pie filling went into the pie, which had a total volume of over 180 cubic feet.

In the end, the newest World’s Largest Key Lime Pie measured 12.25 feet across and weighed 1,220 pounds, beating out the previous winners from both the Guinness Book of World Records (7 feet) and The World Record Academy (8.2 feet).
The festival also featured additional activities in keeping with the event’s “Florida Family Fun” theme, such as a Key lime pie eating contest, pie toss and hula hoop challenge. The 7th Annual Florida Key Lime Pie Festival was held on Jan. 13, 2018, at Brevard Veterans Memorial Park in Merritt Island, Florida.
