D23 celebrates 20 years of Disney’s Animal Kingdom with exclusive member event
D23: The Official Disney Fan Club invites their Gold and Gold Family Members to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Disney’s Animal Kingdom on Sunday, April 22 with a special “20th Anniversary FAN Celebration Pass.”
This pass allows Members to add fan-favorite activities to their day in the park, making the 20th anniversary of Disney’s Animal Kingdom all the more memorable.
Check-in for the day’s festivities will take place from 8:45-9:45 a.m. in the Oasis near the entrance of Rainforest Cafe inside the park. D23 Gold Members will be required to show photo ID, as well as their D23 Membership Card.
For those who purchase the 20th Anniversary FAN Celebration Pass, D23 Gold Members will receive:
- Reserved viewing for the 20th anniversary moment at the Tree of Life
- A 20th anniversary commemorative D23 digital photo
- Three FastPasses for experiences at Disney’s Animal Kingdom (excluding Pandora – the World of Avatar)
- Reserved viewing for a specified Rivers of Light performance.
Members will also receive a D23-exclusive gift created for this event in collaboration with Walt Disney Parks and Resorts.
A limited number of attendees will be able to purchase a “VIP 20th Anniversary FAN Celebration Pass,” which includes all of the previously listed activities, as well as the following premium experiences:
- VIP viewing for a Festival of the Lion King performance
- Behind-the-Scenes Dinner inside the Festival of the Lion King theater
- Private Mix and Mingle reception in DinoLand, U.S.A.
- Additional D23-exclusive commemorative keepsake
Plus, during the special day, special guests of Disney’s Animal Kingdom will stop by to help guests celebrate.
Gold and Gold Family Members can reserve a ticket for themselves and one guest for either FAN Celebration Pass, though admission to Disney’s Animal Kingdom is not included.
There will be a limited number of tickets available, and the passes go on sale on Monday, March 19 at 12 p.m. PT, 1 p.m. EST. The 20th Anniversary FAN Celebration Pass is $20 per person, with a $5 per-person processing fee. The VIP 20th Anniversary Fan Celebration Pass is $275, plus the $5 per-person processing fee.
