Resort guests at Walt Disney World will soon have to pay overnight parking fees during their stay.

Disney has revealed that they will now be charging resort hotel guests for overnight vehicle parking during their stay at Walt Disney World Resort.

Effective for reservations made on or after March 21, 2018, standard overnight self-parking will be available to hotel guests for a fee plus tax. This new fee will be applied to their bill at check-out. Prices for overnight parking are broken down by resort type and are as follows:

  • Value Resorts: $13 per night
  • Moderate Resorts: $19 per night
  • Deluxe Resorts and Deluxe Villas: $24 per night

Valet parking for guests staying at Deluxe Resorts has also increased, and is now $33 per night. Guests who stay at Fort Wilderness Campground will receive complimentary parking with their campsite, as each site includes parking for one vehicle.

Those who are Disney Vacation Club Members staying at a Disney Resort on their club points, as well as resort hotel guests with disabilities and Cast Members, will not have to pay these fees for parking.

Luckily, for those guests who live locally and visit Walt Disney World frequently, they will not have to pay parking fees in order to visit, dine and shop at their favorite Disney resorts. These fees apply only to those with hotel reservations and must park their car overnight.

As of this change, Walt Disney World will now join Disneyland Resort and Aulani Resort & Spa in charging overnight parking fees for resort guests.

  1. Being a huge WDW fan, I used to go at least twice a year but have stopped going altogether. Charging guests to park their cars at the resorts is the final nail in the coffin. I am done.

  2. Disney has finally crossed the line, I will no longer stay on Disney property as I have always done, I will stay at a roach motel before I give Disney parking fees!!!

  3. Disney once told everybody to come to WDW & stay on their property to have fun. That fun now means spend your money on parking fees. Now if you drive to a park & stay on property…Disney will collect parking fees for both places.
What’s next ! fees for using Disney’s transportation or parking fees at Disney Springs.
WE ARE DONE WITH DISNEY REPLACING FUN FOR MORE FEES !

    1. Will definitely start charging transportation fees. It’s probably in the plan.
The place seems to be run by accountants and lawyers. No more creativity ????

  4. I HAVE BEEN GOING TO DISNEY WORLD ON AND OFF FOR THE LAST 20 YEARS, STAYED IN THE RESORTS. THEY ARE QUITE EXPENSIVE, SO NOW THAT YOUR PROFITS ARE’NT ENOUGH, YOU NEED TO CHARGE FOR PARKING! BE REAL, I CAN FIND ALOT NICER ROOM DOWN THERE FOR LESS MONEY. SHAME ON YOU GREEDY MOUSE!

  5. Having been to Orlando 6 times and stayed at a WDW resort on 3 occasions I am amazed at the marketing plan of making guests pay $20 parking at the parks and then a further $19 at the hotel per day. For a 2 week stay that’s a whooping $550 just to park your car. I’m a big fan of WDW but this is a step too far. Whenever possible we have gone for 3 weeks which would be an eye watering $820 for parking ‘at your own risk’
I WILL NOT BE CONSIDERING A WDW RESORT ON OUR NEXT VIST.

    1. When you stay at a Disney Resort and are driving, you don’t have to pay to park at the Parks themselves. Now Disney wants to get some money for parking from guests who drive and stay at their resorts, but the guests will not have to pay for parking at the parks. The bad thing is if you don’t go to the parks every day of your stay you will wind up probably paying more for parking than you would have if you stayed off site. Of course if you are staying at a Deluxe resort you will pay more to park there than the cost of the parking for the Parks themselves.
