Disney World raises park ticket prices – Single day now $99, annual pass up by $21

As they have been doing in past years, Walt Disney World has raised the ticket prices to enter their theme parks. They haven’t broken $100 for a day at one park, but they’re very close. The price to visit one day at Magic Kingdom went from $95 to $99. But there are significant savings by booking more than one day at a time.

The one-day ticket price for Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios or Epcot went from $90 to $94. But the more days you buy, the cheaper your savings, although all multi-day ticket prices went up. For example, if you book a 2-Day ticket, you can use the days for any park and the cost is $94 per day (Up from $92). But if you buy a 10-Day ticket, each day will only cost you $35.40 (Up from $33.90). Ticket prices for kids younger than 10, while lower than adult tickets, were also raised.

If you’d like the ability to visit more than one Disney park per day, the Park Hopper Option is an extra $35 (up from $34) for a one-day ticket. Adding the ability to visit Disney’s water parks also went up from $54 to $55. Tickets to visit Disney’s water parks remained the same, at $56.45.

All of the annual pass prices also went up. For Florida residents, a Seasonal Pass, which includes blackout dates, went up by $10, from $309 to $319. The regular Annual Pass, which doesn’t have blackout dates, went up $21, from $464 to $485. And Disney’s Premium Annual Pass, which also includes unlimited access to Disney’s water parks, DisneyQuest and more, also went up $21, from $584 to $605. Prices for Annual Passes for out of state residents are significantly higher, $675 for a regular Annual Pass. (EDIT – 3:29 p.m. – Changed to reflect the annual pass rates are for Florida residents.)

Disney offers some discounts to Florida Residents, Disney Vacation Club Members and Military Personnel. They also offer various discounts at different times of the year to everyone.

In response to the ticket price changes, Disney released this statement, “Our pricing reflects the high quality and breadth of experiences we offer and our ongoing commitment to investing in our parks. We offer a variety of ticket options that provide a great value, and find that most guests select multi-day tickets that offer additional savings.”

There’s no word yet on the other Orlando theme parks raising their prices, but it is expected. In the past, around the same time Disney has adjusted their prices, Universal Orlando and SeaWorld parks have also adjusted theirs.
