Disney’s Animal Kingdom holding Sundowner Celebration during June

Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park is partying into the evening hours with specialty drinks and foods, demonstrations, folk art, entertainment and more throughout the month of June, 2012. The “Sundowner Celebration” offerings can be found near the Tree of Life as well as in the Africa and Asia areas of the park.

The majority of the events will be offered following the 3 p.m. Mickey’s Jammin’ Jungle Parade and will continue until park close. Here’s a look at what guests will find:

Discovery Island Area
• Unique art available that celebrates nature and animals
• A steel drum group
• Viva Gaia Street Band
• Interactive activities at the flamingo exhibit

Harambe Village – Africa
• Wood-carvers, painters, jewelry designers and henna artists at Mombasa Marketplace
• Specialty food and beverage at Kusafiri, Tamu Tamu and the Dawa Bar
• Food demonstrations
• Wine-Walk and Juice Tasting over-looking Harambe’s waterfront
• Street party

Anandapur – Asia
• Special merchandise offerings at Mandala Gifts
• Specialty foods and beverages
• Tea-brewing demonstration
• Cooking demonstrations featuring Asian-inspired foods
• Entertainment
• Authentic cultural dance and street party with a DJ
