Our Farewell to The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights

The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights Disney's Hollywood Studios

After 20 years of surprising and delighting guests, The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios have been turned off for the last time.

With construction starting soon on the future Star Wars and Toy Story lands in the park, Disney announced the 2015 holiday season would be the last one for this annual display. On Jan. 6, 2016, after being extended three days, the Osborne Lights had their final night. Crowds gathered on the Streets of America to say goodbye and catch the lights dancing one more time. At 10 p.m., the lights were turned off with a special moment:

During the final night, guests got a special view of the Star Wars Symphony in the Stars fireworks. Normally guests aren’t able to stand in the Streets of America area during the fireworks.

  1. What a shame, I think they are wrong to take this away, is it for yet more fireworks??? We all loved that at Christmas time and so do many others.

  2. I thought they were the most magical lights I had ever seen. I hope that they get displayed somewhere else with the amazing light show too.
