Halloween Horror Nights to offer RIP and Behind the Screams Tours
Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights 21, running from Sept. 30 to Oct. 31, will be offering special RIP tours and Behind the Screams tours for dedicated fans.
RIP Tours
There will be two RIP tours offered – one for private parties of groups up to 10, and one for non-private parties. The Private RIP Tour starts at $1,500 per group, and includes a guided walking tour tailored to your interests. Haunted houses and shows, as well as regular park attractions, can be included in your private tour.
The Private RIP Tour Schedule:
Non-Peak Nights (Park closes at midnight)
Tours depart at 7 p.m. and end at midnight, with a 30-minute break mid-way through.
Sept. 23, 29, Oct. 2, 6, 19, 26, 30 and 31
Tour groups consist of up to 10 guests.
Price: $1,500 per group, plus event admission
Non-Peak Nights (Park closes at 1 a.m.)
Tours depart at 7 p.m. and end at 1 a.m., with a 30-minute break mid-way through.
Oct. 9, 13, 16, 20, 23 and 27
Tour groups consist of up to 10 guests.
Price: $1,650 per group, plus event admission
Peak Nights (Park closes at 2 a.m.)
Tours depart at 7 p.m. and end at 2 a.m., with a 30-minute break mid-way through.
Oct. 1, 7, 14, 15, 21, 22, 28 and 29
Tour groups consist of up to 10 guests.
Price: $1,800 per group, plus event admission
*RIP Tours are not available on Sept. 24, 30 or Oct. 8.

The Non-Private Tour includes your party, as well as other tour guests. Starting at $150 per person, the tour will be a structured, guided walking tour of all the haunted houses and includes reserved seating at the Bill & Ted’s Excellent Halloween Adventure Show.
The Non-Private RIP Tour Schedule:
Non-Peak Nights (Park closes at midnight or 1 a.m.)
Tours depart at 8 p.m. only on the nights of Sept. 23, 29, Oct. 2, 6, 19, 26, 30 and 31.
Tours depart at 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. on the nights of Oct. 9, 13, 16, 20, 23 and 27.
Combined groups consist of up to 12 guests and the duration of the tour is up to four hours.
Price: $150 per person, plus event admission
Peak Nights (Park closes at 2 a.m.)
Tours depart at 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. on the nights of Oct. 1, 7, 14, 15, 21, 22, 28 and 29.
Combined groups consist of up to 12 guests and the duration of the tour is up to five hours, with a 30-minute break mid-way through.
Price: $175 per person, plus event admission
Parties of more than eight guests will be required to purchase a Private RIP Tour. Non-Private RIP Tour guest requests to be in the same party as other Non-Private RIP Tour guests cannot be guaranteed.
RIP Tours are not available on Sept. 24, 30 or Oct. 8.
Behind the Screams Tours
The Behind the Screams Tour consists of three different tour options this year. The Unmasking the Horror Tour is $55 per person and is a day tour, offering an inside look at several of the attractions. The tour is a guided, informational walking tour and includes a “lights on” look at some of the houses, with the opportunity to take photos and videos.
The Unmasking the Horror Tour Schedule:
Tours depart at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Sept. 24, 29, 30, Oct. 1, 2, 6, 7, 30 and 31.
Tours depart at 2 p.m. only on Oct. 9, 13-16, 20-23 and 27-29.
Combined groups consist of up to 15 guests and the duration of the tour is approximately two hours.
Price: $55.00 per person

Priced at $85 per person, the Face the Fear-Makers Tour is an extended version of the Unmasking the Horror Tour. In addition to what is listed above, this tour includes a question-and-answer session with members of the Art and Design Team.
The Face the Fear-Makers Tour Schedule:
Tours depart at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Sept. 28, Oct. 5, 12, 19, and 26.
Combined groups consist of up to 15 guests and the duration of the tour is approxiamately three hours (up to an hour of which will be the Q&A).
Price: $85.00 per person

The Arcane Insights Tour, priced at $225 per person, has guests spending the night with one of the event’s designers. In addition to the RIP Guide who will lead a structured, walking tour, the group will also be accompanied by a member of the Art and Design Team, who will provide insight into to the storylines, design and development of this year’s event. The group will be walked through all of the scare zones, and get to experience all of the haunted houses with no wait.
The Arcane Insights Tour Schedule:
Tours depart at 7 p.m. on the nights of Oct. 7, 14, 21 and 28 only.
Combined groups consist of up to 12 guests and the duration of the tour is up to 6 hours with a 30-minute break mid-way through.
