Imagine floating around in an inner tube on a summer evening, drink in hand – a perfectly relaxing night. Now imagine you’re there to watch one of the most thrilling films ever made, as its projected across the water while unknown creatures dwell in its depths…

This is the setting behind the Alamo Drafthouse Rolling Roadshow’s “Jaws on the Water,” a special screening event at Beachside Billy’s at Volente Beach in Leander, Texas.

This screening brings viewers to Lake Travis, as they float about in specially designed inner tubes while watching the cinematic classic “Jaws” as its projected on an inflatable screen across the lake.

This event will be held frequently throughout the summer, and a ticket to this unique screening includes an all-new inner tube designed for the event that you get to keep, admission to Volente Beach Water Park from 6 p.m. – 8:30 p.m., admission to the screening, a chance to see an explosive finale (when the fire marshal allows it), and the chance to become a shark’s midnight snack for a group of lurking scuba divers to scare.

Tickets are $55 per person, and can be bought online or at the door until they sell out. Optional meal tickets can be purchased to redeem for a barbecue sandwich meal, and multiple outdoor bars can be found throughout the venue and on the beach.

Guests under the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult during the screening, and all children 12 and under must wear a life jacket while in the water. Those ages 6 and under are not allowed in the water or at the water park during the event.
