Join us as we say goodbye to Twister at Universal Orlando

Twister Bill Paxton final storm Universal Orlando

As another attraction closes for future additions at Universal Studios Florida, we are holding an unofficial meet-up to say goodbye.

Twister … Ride It Out will be creating its final storm at end of the park hours on Nov. 1, 2015 to make way for Ride Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon, opening in 2017. Twister has had a unique fan base due in part to the performance by Bill Paxton in its two preshows.

To celebrate that, we are inviting everyone to join us for the last showing of Twister at 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 1. Wear your blue shirt & jeans (or white tank top and khakis) and meet with us to say goodbye. We are going to try to get a group photo in front of the attraction with everyone doing the Bill Paxton stance (seen above).

If you’d like to RSVP, head to our Facebook event page, although an RSVP isn’t necessary. This event is an unofficial meet-up and is not endorsed or hosted by Universal Orlando. Park admission is required.

  1. I’m saddened to hear that Twister will be no more. It was one of my favorites. Sorry, but the new ride sounds lame.

  2. Seriously? Closing a great thing for a ride through of NY with Jimmy Fallon? Anyone who wants a NY ride through can go to NY and use one of the MANY tours. Sounds like they are losing their creativity.

  3. Is Jaw and the Simpson ride still there/ and what new ones will there be nex August when we get there We cant wait
