New Mazes and Scare Zones

The Depths

A milky, heavy fog has settled over an abandoned port village where ancient creatures lurk in the pitch-black caves below the seaside shores. The Nightwatch Mining Crew has disappeared without a trace, and the local rumors point to the tunnels the town is built upon.

Myths of the horrors that lurk within the caves have been whispered about for years, but never proven true. Did the mining crew meet their end at the hand of the creatures within the caves? Travel into the darkness and follow the crew’s path into The Depths and investigate the superstitions revolving around the cave. But beware – All who have entered have never resurfaced!

Dark Entities

Travel beyond Earth and into the depths of space, where darkness is absolute. Guests will find themselves in a lone space station as they face terrors beyond their imagination. An extraterrestrial has invaded the station and is on the prowl for new hosts to claim. The creature’s power grows every time it feeds on a new victim.

Escape the Dark Entities before its deadly force eliminates all life aboard the station. Time is running out and in space, no one can hear you scream.

Forsaken Lake

This year, a new scare zone is making its way to Knott’s Scary Farm. The lake beneath Silver Bullet has hidden the horrific creatures for years…until now. Forsaken Lake will unleash gothic creatures as they wander from their watery crypts, ready to prey on victims to drag back to the deep and dark below.

New Live Shows

In addition to this year’s new mazes and scare zone, Knott’s is debuting two new stage shows. In “Hacks – Cutting Room Floor,” the twisted improvised comedy antics of “Hacks” return to Knott’s Scary Farm will a new show in the Charles M. Schulz Theatre. This time, the Hacks have taken over a run-down movie theater to create a Halloween show on the spot with a little help from the audience and plenty of “B” horror films.

The Bird Cage Theatre will be the home of comedy and magic once again with “CONJURE – Magic and Mirth in the Bird Cage Theatre.” Watch as award-winning magicians and Fox’s Masters of Illusion take the stage to amuse and delight guests. Magicians Dana Daniels, Taylor Hughes, and Chipper Lowell will perform on select nights.

In addition, dance until you die with a new, non-stop dance party in Fiesta Village called “Awaken the Dead.” Here, guests can dance the night away to the most popular songs of yesterday and today.

Returning Mazes, Shows, and Experiences

It wouldn’t be Knott’s Scary Farm without returning cult fan-favorite experiences, and this year’s lineup is jam-packed. Returning favorites include:

Dark Ride

Travel through an abandoned carnival ride where cruel carnies still linger in the shadows of the Castle of Chaos. These shunned performers have created their own dark world filled with terrors they will unleash on the fools who enter.

Dark Ride will take those foolish…I mean, brave visitors on a dangerous path into the depths of this neglected attraction as horrifying scenes cast a dark gloom over this once pleasant ride. This is your worst nightmare, and there’s no way out.

Shadow Lands

A fulfilling life will ensure a soul’s safe passage into the afterlife, but what happens to the souls of those who die in battle? The Shadow Lands maze will invite guests to fight off demon samurais whose souls have been cursed to rot within the depths of purgatory. Embark on a journey through a sacred shrine, an ancient Japanese temple and into the misty Shadow Lands.

Pumpkin Eater

Guests will have to survive the wrath of the 7-foot-tall murderous monster that lurks in the woods surrounding The Hollow and Pumpkin Eater maze. This creature is on the hunt within the haunted town he once terrorized. All who enter the maze must traverse through the silent town of victims, face a cave of crawling insects and solve the labyrinth of thorns that blocks the way out…or become just another number in Pumpkin Eater’s body count.

Special Ops: Infected

Enlist and fight for your life during the zombie apocalypse in this interactive experience, Special Ops: Infected.

Armed with specially designed laser guns, groups of guests will set out on a mission to navigate the city and find the infection cure. This fan-favorite will include more bloodthirsty zombies this year than ever before, challenging missions along the way and many surprises hidden in every corner.

Paranormal, Inc. – The Haunting of Hayden Hill

Paranormal, Inc. will open its doors to those who seek an eerie and supernatural adventure. Guests will investigate a haunted hospital where patients were tortured for decades by deranged doctors and their nurses.

The spirits of the murdered victims have been detected throughout the halls, and an evil medical staff is prowling for new patients to torture. This year, guests will encounter a redesigned finale scene that will have everyone running out the door in fear.

Red Barn

Travel to this blood-soaked barn filled with gore that a murderous farmer calls home in Red Barn. The legend tells that the farmer who owns the barn has been transformed into a monstrous creature that sends his demonic sons to gather food and new wives for him to ensure his legacy. Most folks stay clear of the barn because those who are foolish enough to wander in…never escape.

The Hanging: Shh…It Happens

The Citizens of Calico will face their toughest adversaries yet – the censors! In this live stage show, the citizens take a look back at the year’s pop culture hits and misses with some killer comedy. Notorious for its high-flying stunts and special effects, The Hanging is an assault on all things pop culture and its most memorable moments of the past year.

Timber Mountain Log Ride: Halloween Hootenanny

Every year, the citizens of the Timber Mountain invite the mysterious creatures that live in the woods and caverns to join them in celebration of the season at the Halloween Hootenanny. The ride’s interior will feature new surprises as guests travel past the Calico Coffin Creeper Band, the Green Witch and splash down Skull Mountain through a labyrinth of jack-o-lanterns.

This seasonal ride overlay will also include an original song performed by Krazy Kirk and the Hillbillies. At night, the Timber Mountain will come to life with even more scares.

Returning Scare Zones

Knott’s Scary Farm will also see the return of fan-favorite scare zones, spilling the monsters out into the streets and turning the theme park into murderous scare zones.

Ghost Town Streets

This is the original and the largest, most frightening scare zone that started it all. Gangs of half-human, half-animal monstrosities will lurk through the foggy streets, while the notorious sliders will lunge from every dark corner of the land.

CARNEVIL

On the Boardwalk, clowns will clamor for your attention as they lure you in with their sinister antics.

The Hollow

The witches of The Hollow, along with their armies of creatures, have risen once again to battle the witch hunter in this scare zone.

  1. Enjoyable, especially scare zones and new mazes. Lots of recycled mazes (Trick Or Treat and Red Barn). “Hacks Cutting Room Floor” is a waste of time and represents a slide. Overall seems like a return of going on the cheap
