Lakeridge Winery hosts 23rd Annual Harvest Grape Stomp this August
Harvest season has arrived, and so has the time for grape stomping competitions! Lakeridge Winery is hosting their 23rd Annual Harvest Grape Stomp on Aug.19 and 20.
Families can be entertained by live music the entire weekend by local musicians, along with a variety of Lakeridge wine, beer, soft drinks and food available for guests to purchase and enjoy. There will also be complimentary Winery tours and tastings.
The weekend will be jam-packed with bands and performers for guests to enjoy. Check out the lineup below:
- Aug. 19 – The Ladyz & The Boyz
- 10 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
- Aug. 19 – Bobby Blackmon & The B3 Band
- 2 p.m. – 5 p.m.
- Aug. 20 – Airtight
- 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
- Aug. 20 – Tory Wynter
- 2 p.m. – 5 p.m.
A Wine & Cheese Bar will also be open during the festival on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. Located upstairs in the wine shop at Lakeridge, the Wine & Cheese Bar will feature Lakeridge wines by the glass, as well as a selection of beers and cheese. The bar will also have its own entertainment with local solo acts:
- Aug. 19 – Joe Hand
- Noon – 4 p.m.
- Aug. 20 – Jeff Whitfield
- Noon – 4 p.m.
The kids won’t be left out at the grape stomp, either, as Just Funtastic will be present with inflatables, food and fun just for kids to have a day full of entertainment and grape-stomping good times.
Guests are invited to take part in a complimentary tour and wine tasting during their visit, with tours running approximately every 20 minutes until 4 p.m., and tastings held throughout the day until 5 p.m.
Admission for adults is $3 per person, and children 12 and under can attend for free. A portion of the proceeds from the weekend event will go to support the Boys & Girls Clubs of Lake and Sumter Counties.
