The holiday fun begins on Nov. 18 at Legoland California Resort.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year as Legoland California prepares to host its annual Christmas celebration: Holidays at Legoland California Resort.

Running from Nov. 18 through Jan. 1, 2018, families can rejoice in the Lego cheer as they enjoy bright shimmering lights, live entertainment, festive decor, the world’s largest Lego Christmas tree and more.

Fun Town will get a holiday makeover as buildings are covered in lights and holiday decorations, and host the Lego Christmas tree – a perfect place for guests to take photos.

Standing at 30-feet-tall and made up of more than 245,000 forest green Duplo bricks, the Lego Christmas tree is decorated with over 400 Lego ornatents and 11,000 LED lights. Kids can pose for a photo with a life-size Lego Santa and his reindeer, or sing and dance along with The Yule Tides, Santa’s musical elves who perform a variety of old and new carols on the Fun Town Stage.

In Heartlake City, the holiday fun continues as the area is transformed into a winter wonderland for guests. Younger guests can watch the Friends live holiday show, or join in on building activities in the Heartlake City stables. A traveling brass band playing festive bluegrass music will stroll through Heartlake City to entertain those passing by.

Guests can indulge in holiday treats like churros con chocolate, spiced apple cider and vanilla bean hot chocolate, as well as enjoy character meet-and-greets with Lego Santa and Lego Toy Soldier and collect holiday-inspired pop badges.

New for this year is the Winter Holiday Market, which will be open during extended park hours on Saturday, Dec. 9 and 16. Here, guests can enjoy authentic “German Christmas Market” treats like holiday breads, giant Bavarian pretzel, grilled sausages and more.

Sea Life aquarium and Legoland Hotel are also getting in the holiday spirit. Sea Life aquarium will host a special holiday-themed daily dive show and winter craft activities. Legoland Hotel will have its halls decked with festive decorations, themed entertainment and its own Lego Christmas tree. Children can enjoy holiday-themed games and story time at the castle, as well as themed building contests.

Holidays at Legoland California Resort will close when midnight arrives early at their annual Kids’ New Year’s Eve Party. The festivities will begin with special musical performances in Heartlake City and on Fun Town Stage. The party will later move to San Francisco in Mainland U.S.A., which will host a countdown followed by a huge Lego brick dropping 22 feet into 2018 and a fireworks show at 6 p.m. to end the party.
