Walt Disney World announces online hotel check-in for My Disney Experience app
The Walt Disney World Resort has added a new feature to the My Disney Experience app, which will allow guests to check into their Disney resort online to speed up their arrival process.
With just a few taps into My Disney Experience, guests can check into their Disney resort up to 60 days in advance, and complete their check-in process using their MagicBands sent prior to their arrival to unlock their room.
Guests who already have their MagicBands can even complete their check-in process, including the option to request a room location, without ever having to visit the front desk. However, guests can still visit the front desk to complete their check-in process if they prefer the interaction with a cast member to the app.
Through this new update, guests can also make room requests, authorize charges and add credit card information, as well as submit estimated arrival times and get notifications when the resort room is ready for check-in.
This update adds on to two previous enhancements to the application, which included features like Mobile Order, which allows guests to avoid lines at seven quick service dining locations in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom and Disney Springs; and My Resort Dashboard, which gives guests easier access to their vacation plans and resort room information.
Guests are encouraged to update to the latest version of My Disney Experience in order to access this new feature. For more information, and future updates on additions to the My Disney Experience app, visit disneyworld.com and the Disney Parks Blog.
