Four Seasons Resort Orlando is celebrating National Chocolate Day with a special dessert party on Sept. 13.

Satisfy your sweet tooth on National Chocolate Day this Sept. 13, as Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort will host a one-of-a-kind dessert party at Capa restaurant.

Executive Pasty Chef Rabii Saber has crafted a delicious menu full of desserts, and will display his award-winning “Curtain Rise” chocolate cake at the party. The Resort will also host Master Sommelier George Miliotes at the event, who will present specialty cocktails and dessert wines to compliment the menu.

Saber’s talents with pastry-making are well-known, which resulted in him being invited to the Coupe du Monde de la Patisserie, which is often referred to as the “Pastry Olympics.” His “Curtain Rise” cake won, which features a thin layer of chocolate with caramelized hazelnut, two layers of chocolate sponge cake, a layer of Caribe chocolate cremeux, and a layer of coffee bean crème brulée, with the entire cake wrapped in a thin chocolate glaze.

“I consider chocolate art one of my strengths, and I am pleased that the cake won for this portion of the event,” says Saber. “I’m excited to unveil it to the local Orlando Community for National Chocolate Day.”

Along with the “Curtain Rise” cake, guests will also be able to indulge in:

  • Passion fruit baba cake
  • Chocolate olive oil tartlet
  • Hazelnut and chocolate kisses
  • Matcha and black sesame lollipops
  • Peanut butter and jelly choux pastry
  • 5-spice blueberry cheesecake

Miliotes, who is one of only 236 professionals in the industry certified by the Court of Master Sommeliers, will be opening Wine Bar George at Disney Springs. This bar will be the only Master Sommelier-led wine bar in Florida, and will feature a range of vintages, varietals and princes, as well as a selection of wines by the glass.

“I’m thrilled to share my enthusiasm and passion for wine with each and every guest, and look forward to a fun dessert event at Capa,” says Miliotes.

Admission to the dessert party is limited, as it will be held in one of Capa’s private dining rooms. Tickets are $55 per person, and can be purchased online. The event will start on Sept. 13 at 8 p.m, and end at 10 p.m.
