New road gives Premium Outlet shoppers an alternate route

Fenton Street

A new road is now open that connects Palm Parkway to International Drive. It also offers an alternate route for tourists wanting an easy way to get to the Premium Outlets on Vineland Avenue.

The new road is called Fenton Street and it goes from Palm Parkway, over I-4, behind the Premium Outlets – Vineland Ave, ending at International Drive. It offers an alternate route for residents and tourists in Lake Buena Vista, including Disney World guests with their own transportation, to get to the very popular Premium Outlets – Vineland Ave.

Before the road opened, those headed to the outlets from those areas had to go down County Road 535 and turn left on Vineland Avenue. But getting in and out of that area can sometimes be a traffic hassle.

To take the new route from Disney World, take Buena Vista Road past Downtown Disney and turn right on Hotel Plaza Boulevard. Then turn left on County Road 535 (AKA Apopka-Vineland Road). Then turn right on Palm Parkway, then right on Fenton Street. Once you’re over I-4, take your first right over to the outlets. Stay straight on Fenton and it will run into International Drive. A left turn on International will take you past SeaWorld, Aquatica and the most popular areas of I-Drive.

Right now, there’s no way to exit off of 1-4 to Fenton Street, and no way to get on I-4 from the new overpass, but those exits may be added in the future.

UPDATE – Oct. 21, 2014: The name of the new road has been changed from Fenton Street to Daryl Carter Parkway.

  1. I am so glad this road is open. It will allow me to by-pass the CrossRoads area duringholidays and weekends when it is all tied up.
