New ‘caramel kitchen’ opens at Epcot – The only freestanding Werther’s in the world

A new candy store has opened in Epcot. Look for hand-crafted caramel treats at Karamell-Küche in the Germany Pavilion. The new shop opened without much fanfare yesterday, Sept. 30, 2010.

Karamell-Küche means caramel kitchen in German. The shop is run by Storck USA, makers of Werther’s Original. Look for the full line of Werther’s candies as well has many treats hand-made in the shop. Be sure to stop in and see if they are handing out any free samples when you pass by.

You’ll find cookies, brownies, caramel popcorn, fudge, plus hand-dipped apples, strawberries, pretzels and more. They’ll also be carrying some exclusive Werther’s items and gifts. This is the only free-standing Werther’s shop in the world.

Here’s a quick video tour of the store:

  1. I was at the store in April and purchased a few goodies. However, I never had a chance to eat them as others did!! Can I order from the store and have it delivered to my home?
