Bubble master Fan Yang brings the art of bubbles to a whole new level in “Pop”

SeaWorld Orlando has collaborated with Bubble Legendary for this summer’s newest show, “Pop.” This live performance, inspired by bubbles from the sea, is presented by Fan Yang as he brings his talent to the stage in a beautiful display.

Yang’s presentation is choreographed to an original musical score, and displays how bubbles can be manipulated into all sorts of sizes and shapes.

“I looked to the sea and found amazing inspiration. The bubbles found naturally in our oceans, trails of bubbles left by swimming penguins and bubbles created by dolphins and whales all came to mind,” said Yang, who founded Bubble Legendary and lead performer in “Pop.” “I’m so proud of this collaboration with SeaWorld and I hope every guest who attends ‘Pop’ will love it as much as I do.”

Each performance includes special lighting, lasers and sound, as well as 23-foot-tall screens on both sides of the stage to enhance the bubble display.

“The screens give us the opportunity to combine technology and imagery with the live performance on stage,” said Steve Welch, the Creative Director at SeaWorld. “Through video of sea animals and the oceans, the screens help immerse guests in a world filled with bubbles. As the show unfolds, the screens also provide up-close views of the performance, enabling every guest to feel like they are sitting in the front row.”

Each of the performances will also surprise two audience members with a life-size bubble version of themselves on stage. The show ends with a wave of lasers, light and sound as the theater is surrounded with bubbles.

“Pop” is performed two to four times each day at SeaWorld’s Nautilus Theater now through Sept. 4, but is not performed on Thursdays. “Pop” is included with regular park admission to SeaWorld Orlando, and reserved seating options are also available.

This new show marks the beginning of summer at SeaWorld Orlando. Kraken Unleashed: Virtual Reality Experience, a new VR experience on SeaWorld’s Kraken coaster, opens later this month, as well as the new Electric Ocean nighttime spectacular. This nighttime show will turn the park into an underwater world full of light, as well as include a fireworks display.
