Nickelodeon Suites Resort is now officially the Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites Waterpark.

After over a quarter century in the Orlando market, Nick is no more, because the former Nickelodeon Suites Resort is now officially known as the Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites Waterpark.

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) acquired the Nickelodeon-themed hotel (which was Orlando’s last major Nick-branded attraction since the cable channel exited Universal Orlando) and has rechristened it as the Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites Waterpark effective June 1. The 777-room, all-suite hotel is the largest property in the Holiday Inn Resort family. The property is currently undergoing a $30 million renovation, expected to be completed by year end. The 777-room property features one, two and three bedroom suites, all offering either a kitchenette or full kitchen.

Though the Nickelodeon characters are gone, guests of the Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites Waterpark can still enjoy complimentary Internet access, the more than 20,000 square foot waterpark with poolside cabanas, and the new Batman Laser Challenge, in which children and adults can work alongside Batman to take on The Joker as he threatens Gotham City. The property also offers a multi-million dollar 4-D Theater featuring Angry Birds: The 4-D Experience, and Ice Age No Time for Nuts 4-D. The property also offers family-friendly activities including pool-side entertainment and Kids Club with activities hosted throughout the day.

Located one mile from Disney World, Epcot Resort Area and Disney Springs and only ten miles from Universal Orlando Resort, the property offers regular free park shuttles and various on-site restaurants including the poolside Lagoon Grill and Bar, Lakeside Café and Hideaway Lounge.

Eric Lent, Vice President, Holiday Inn Brand, The Americas, IHG said: “With 43 resort properties around the world, Holiday Inn Resort hotels offer the familiarity of the beloved Holiday Inn brand in vacation destinations from sandy beaches to rustic mountains. The Holiday Inn Resort brand was created to provide families affordable and enjoyable holiday experiences where they can create lasting memories. The new Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites Waterpark offers exactly that in one of the most popular family destinations in the U.S., and we are pleased to welcome the property to the IHG family.”

  1. My family and I stayed in this resort several times when it was The Holiday Inn family Suites before it was associated with Nickolodeon. My kids never even wanted to leave for Disney World because they had so much fun there. It was the first resort style hotel we had ever stayed in and it left lasting memories for all of us. Now a generation later, we are hoping to enjoy it with our grandchildren this summer! Don’t hesitate! Fantastic location, conveniences, accommodations, food and fun!

  2. Charles Haber Generla manager of Holiday Inn Orlando Waterpark Orlando, if you are reading this review please return my call. I am really upset with the hotel and the managers you left in charge during my visit in Dec 30 to Jan 4 2017. My sister was literally force to sign documents to buy a vacation we don’t want. We just wanted to buy a Disney ticket for my sons bday for one day. Over 6.0 hours was wasted with my birthday at the daycare instead of enjoying the Disneyland. We traveled all the way to Hawaii and wasted my money and time to wait for my sister to do her 90 mins presentation as promise I order to get our discounted tickets. I wanna cry right now a two years worth of savings ruined bday and a stress out Sister we can’t even buy food or enjoy Orlando because of this ordeal had hold up everyone’s money. If you are a family person you would understand how sad this is for my son to have to fly to Orlando and for me to work three jobs for a vacation almost closed to hell. No other accommodations was provided to me and my child. Your hotel not only made me cry but broke my little children’s heart. This is unacceptable and I don’t know how people can sleep at night knowing this sad ordeal happens to hard working American like me. You you have any heart left you would make and attempt to call me and make this right to my family.
