Pandora – the World of Avatar is now open at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Guests of Walt Disney World Resort can now immerse themselves in the Valley of Mo’ara, as Pandora – the World of Avatar officially opened today at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Surrounded by floating mountains, bioluminescent forests and banshees taking flight, this alien moon is a whole new world to explore at Walt Disney World. This 12-acre land includes multiple immersive outdoor experiences, two attractions, a fast-casual restaurant and drink kiosk, as well as a specialized merchandise location. Check out our daytime and nighttime tours of the land below:

The outdoor experiences in Pandora include the Flaska Reclinata plant, which can be interacted with. Guests must stay careful of standing in the wrong place, as they could get splashed by the plant.

Guests can also watch and enjoy a drum circle show in the central area of the land.

The two attractions inside Pandora are the Na’vi River Journey, and Flight of Passage. Na’vi River Journey takes you on a serene boat ride through a bioluminescent rainforest and to an encounter with the Na’vi Shaman of Songs, as seen in the video below.

The other attraction, Flight of Passage, takes you through the process of linking with an Avatar, and riding your own banshee through Pandora. With a ride vehicle that truly helps to immerse the guests in the experience, this attraction is unlike any other at Walt Disney World. Check out our video tour of the queue below:

Guests can dine at the fast-casual restaurant, Satu’li Canteen, and indulge in all the Pandoran delicacies that the moon has to offer.

The specialized merchandise location, attached to the Flight of Passage attraction, is called Windtraders. This location specializes in Pandora merchandise, and you can even bond with and adopt your own banshee at The Rookery. Take a tour of the store, and watch a banshee interaction below:

With this new land now open to guests, people of Earth can finally travel 4.4 lightyears away to the moon of Pandora, thanks to Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Alpha Centauri Expeditions, the travel initiative responsible for expeditions to Pandora.
