Photo Update: Expanded go-kart track opens at Fun Spot America, plus other additions

Fun Spot America continues to make additions to its newly expanded park off of International Drive. We made a visit recently and have a photo report to share with you.


IMG_0658 Here’s a new marquee and Statue of Liberty replica near the main entrance at the corner of Grand National Drive and Fun Spot Way.


IMG_0661 A candy shop is under construction in the breezeway of the main entrance building (seen at the top of the post).


IMG_0662 Here are the prices for unlimited armbands.


IMG_0675 An aerial shot of the expanded park from the top of the Whit Lightning lift hill.


IMG_0673 An on-ride photo has been added to White Lightning. The camera is positioned at the bottom of the first drop.


Scan0010 The White Lightning photos are $12.95 for one, $5 for a second photo and $5 for a frame.


IMG_0671 A statue has been added to the top of the Freedom Flyer coaster building, next to the load area.


IMG_0666 Seating areas with shade have been added at various points around the park, ranging in size.

IMG_0682 The Commander track takes a winding path around both the original and expanded areas of the park.


IMG_0685 You can see just how close the Commander track comes to the 90 degree bank turn of White Lighting.

Fun Spot America is open daily from 10 a.m. to midnight.
