Most of Orlando’s attractions appear to have made it through Hurricane Irma with relatively minor damage, but Pirate’s Dinner Adventure is closed indefinitely due to the devastating effects of the storm.
On September 12, Pirate’s Dinner Adventure in Orlando posted the following notice:
Due to the unfortunate and devastating effects that we have suffered from Hurricane Irma, ALL SHOWS have been canceled.
What does this mean for you? If you have purchased tickets to any of our shows: Pirate’s Dinner Adventure, Treasure Tavern, or The Cirque Magique, we will be contacting you about our show cancelations and possible rescheduling.
Purchase your tickets from someone other than us? If you have purchased tickets through any reseller or third party seller, you would have to contact the vendor you purchased your tickets from.
What is going on? As of this moment, we are still experiencing communications issues with our internet and phones. We will have an update as soon as possible when we have our lines of communication ready. Since the damage is still fairly new, there is no definite answer as to how long the damages will take to repair and when we will be starting our shows again. You can stay tuned for any updates we have via our Facebook, Website, or our Email Subscriber list.
We appreciate your understanding and patience as we go through these difficult times. We hope that everyone has stayed safe through the hurricane.
Photographs posted to Facebook reveal the reason for the closure: Hurricane Irma destroyed a large portion of the dome that covers Pirate’s main theater, exposing the artificial lake and ship inside.
For comparison’s sake, here are some photos of the same ship in the Pirate’s show during better days:
It’s unknown at this time if or when Pirate’s Dinner Adventure and its associated shows will reopen. Here are videos of Pirate’s Treasure Tavern and Cirque Magique to remember the productions by:
