SeaWorld San Antonio’s Seven Seas Food & Wine Festival begins April 21.

SeaWorld San Antonio’s Seven Seas Food & Wine Festival returns for its third year on April 21. Guests and foodies alike will be able to sip and sample various wines, beers and cocktails, as well as over 85 chef-created dishes and food offerings.

The festival will take place in the park Fridays through Sundays, from April 21 to May 29. It will also highlight 11 countries in six seafaring regions, including France, Greece, Jamaica, Brazil, Japan, and more. There will also be live entertainment, including an art demonstration utilizing food as an art medium titled “Art of Food,” and Japanese taiko drummers.

“Texans love to experience great food in a great atmosphere and no one can combine the two better than SeaWorld San Antonio,” said park president Carl Lum. “Our culinary team led by our executive chef, Scott Ronczkowski, brings the opportunity to sample international cuisine in a casual atmosphere, while guests can also enjoy a fun day filled with shows and thrills.”

Admission to the festival is included with any standard SeaWorld admission, including Passes and Fun Cards. Individual tasting and sampler packages are also available for purchase, and start at $26 plus tax. 1. Some of these menus feature seafood; SeaWorld, of course, doesn’t see the disconnect. It thinks keeping orcas, dolphins, beluga whales and other animals captive in small, barren, concrete tanks is better than transitioning them to seaside sanctuaries where they would be monitored and still experience the freedom they’ve been cruelly denied. I’ll pass.
