This year, Shanghai Disney Resort will be getting in the spooky spirit as they celebrate their very first resort-wide Halloween season, from Sept. 25 through Oct. 31.
Guests will be able to experience themed entertainment offerings and explore authentically designed environments, as the resort is dressed in Halloween colors, Disney character Jack-‘o-Lanterns, Mickey Mouse-shaped spider webs and more.
When day turns to night in Shanghai Disneyland, guests will see the park come to life with the new Villains’ Cavalcade, starring Hades from “Hercules,” Dr. Facilier from “The Princess and the Frog,” and Maleficent from “Sleeping Beauty.”
Ghost pirates inspired by Captain Salazar and his crew from “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” will be roaming Treasure Cove, seeking new recruits for their haunted crew. Guests will also be able to join in an interactive dance party in Tomorrowland, inspired by the “Guardians of the Galaxy” franchise.
Another first for the Halloween season, guests of all ages will be able to dress up in costume during the Halloween festival period. Specific costume guidelines are listed on the Shanghai Disney Resort website.
Themed food and beverage options will also be available for the Halloween season, like Baby Groot Breadmasks, a Black Magic Cheeseburger, and even a Halloween-themed buffet at Lumiere’s Kitchen in the Shanghai Disneyland Hotel.
A new line of themed merchandise will be rolled out for guests that includes Mickey-shaped Trick or Treat pumpkin buckets, Mickey and Minnie Halloween plushes, Halloween Mickey ear headbands and more.
As part of the Halloween festival, Shanghai Disneyland is offering its first-ever evening ticket, available only during this season. The ticket will allow guests to enter the park after 4 p.m., from Sept. 25 through Oct. 31, except for Oct. 2 through Oct. 7.
