This year’s Spooky Day in the parks will be jam-packed with tricks and treats.

Spooky Empire and Florida Supercon have joined forces to bring spooks and surprises for a Spooky Day in the Parks at Walt Disney World Resort.

From Sept. 22 – 24, guests can join the frightening Spooky Day in the Parks meet up for those fans who have a “darker” side. The weekend’s events will include theme park gatherings, special merchandise, a character breakfast, special VIP events and more.

Recently added to the weekend is an exclusive screening of the new documentary “Foolish Mortals,” which centers around the fan culture related to the classic attraction, The Haunted Mansion. This will be the first ever screening at Walt Disney World Resort.

Two screenings will take place at the Spooky Day Bizarre at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort on Friday, Sept. 22 and Saturday, Sept. 23. Both screenings will be hosted by Director James H. Carter II and Producer Ryan Grulich, with times to be announced at a later date.

Spooky Day in the Parks is a chance for fans to get together and enjoy their favorite Disney villains and more frightening attractions, as well as show off their weirdest wardrobe through DisneyBounding and other attire. However, no costumes or cosplay will be permitted inside the parks.

Events during Spooky Day in the Parks will include:

  • Bizarre Bazaar – a two-day exhibitor hall full of goods and artwork to sink your claws into
  • Magic Kingdom meet-up – DisneyBounding meet-up at Magic Kingdom Park
  • Gala at the Tower – an exclusive after-hours private dessert party with unlimited rides, an open bar, and Villain photo opportunities at The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
  • Frightful Feast – a character breakfast at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort

Rooms are still available at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort for a discounted rate of $199 per night for the event, and can be reserved online. To make final arrangements for Spooky Day in the Parks, and for more information on all its events, visit spookydayintheparks.com.
