Walls have been taken down today at Universal Studios Florida, revealing the London waterfront facades that are part of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley expansion.
Earlier today, Universal Parks & Resorts launched their latest app entitled, Universal ScreenPlay. It is an augmented reality experience for guests visiting Universal Parks & Resorts by letting them experience their favorite Universal movies and characters in a new way.
Construction continues on the recently announced Transformers: The Ride attraction and the former Jaws area, rumored to be a Wizarding World of Harry Potter London area including a Grignotts Bank roller coaster, at Universal Studios Florida. The Jaws ride had its final voyage last night. Many fans were on hand to get their last rides and say goodbye to the whole Amity area as it closed to make way for new attractions. We were among the lucky 48 who were able to get a ticket to “Jaws – The Final Voyage” and be on the very last boat around the harbor (video below). [Read more…]
It appears someone at Universal Orlando has anonymously shared plans for the upcoming Wizarding World of Harry Potter expansion at Universal Orlando with Robert Niles of ThemeParkInsider.com. The detailed plans call for a Gringotts Bank ride, a large restaurant and more at the Amity and Jaws area, which is closing Monday. [Read more…]

The SeaWorld Orlando penguin exhibit will be replaced by a ride in the coming months and years, so we swung by to document the building and exhibit as it exists now (the puffin exhibit is already closed). We did the same for Jaws at Universal, which is rumored to be replaced by an expansion to Harry Potter. In both parks, we also stopped to document “new to us” items as we came across them.
