With Pandora – the World of Avatar only days away from its May 27 opening, Disney has announced yet another new way to immerse guests in the experience in the Valley of Mo’ara: “Connect to Protect,” a new mobile adventure game accessible through the My Disney Experience app.
On May 27, the opening of Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s newest land, Pandora – The World of Avatar brings Disney’s newest step toward making visiting the parks easier: Mobile Order. Not only will this service be available in Pandora, but soon will be accessible at three other restaurants in Animal Kingdom this summer.
The Walt Disney World Resort is one of the largest employers in Central Florida, and with the opening of Pandora – The World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the park is about to bring in even more job opportunities.
The long-awaited Avatar expansion at Disney’s Animal Kingdom doesn’t officially open until May 27, but Pandora previews will begin for select Cast Members, Annual Passholders, and Disney Vacation Club member starting as early as May 2.

Fans of James Cameron’s blue-skinned blockbuster are eagerly awaiting the May 27 opening of an Avatar-themed area at Walt Disney World’s Animal Kingdom, and ABC Television stoked the fire yesterday by broadcasting a day-long Pandora preview from the park on Good Morning America, The View, The Chew, and Nightline.
Avatar: Discover Pandora, a new interactive exhibition based on the 2009 James Cameron film, will make its global premiere in Taipei, Taiwan, on December 7.
