Earlier this week we reported on Disney World’s ticket prices rising. As expected, days later Universal has raised some of their prices as well. But so far, their prices have only risen at the gate, online ticket prices have remained the same.

UPDATE: March 4, 2014 – Universal has now also raised their online prices. The online single day tickets now match the gate prices, but they still offer an online savings for multiple days.

If purchasing at one of the ticket windows at Universal Orlando, the cost of a one day, one park ticket went up to $96 plus tax. It was $92, and remains that price if purchased online. A one day, two park ticket went from $128 to $136. Again, it remains $128 on the Universal Orlando website. All of the annual pass prices have remained the same.

Here are some other price changes at the ticket windows:
• Two days, one park each day went from $146.99 to $155.99
• Two days, both parks each day went from $166.99 to $195.99

As with Disney World, Universal often offers Florida residents and military discounts and other limited time specials. Different from Disney World, Universal Orlando often discounts tickets bought through their website, so it pays to check before you buy at the ticket window.

When the new Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley area opens this summer at Universal Studios Florida, one of the main attractions will be riding the Hogwarts Express, which takes guests between the two theme parks. Guests will need a ticket that offers park to park access to ride.
