TapuTapu at Universal’s Volcano Bay hopes to allow guests to focus more on their park experience.

On May 25, guests at Universal’s Volcano Bay will experience a new, innovative parking experience, thanks to its TapuTapu wearable.

Guests will no longer have to wait in long lines, carry their wallets, or locker keys. They will no longer have to plan out their wait times for each part of their visit, or worry about keeping up with all of their essentials.

Taking suggestions and information from guests about what worked and did not work with water parks, Universal designed the waterproof TapuTapu wearable to maximize fun and efficiency while making a guest’s visit to the park less stressful.

Included with the price of admission, guests to Volcano Bay will use their TapuTapu to utilize the virtual line system, as seen earlier this year with the opening of Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon at Universal Studios Florida. This allows the guests to redefine what they call their “queue;” it could be a quick snack at a food kiosk, or a float down a winding river. The wearable will alert the guest when it is their turn in line for an attraction.

There are also many TapTu Play experiences in the water park, which can trigger effects like water spurting from whales in Tot Tiki Reef, water cannons blasting off down Kopiko Wai Winding River, and more.

Universal has announced even more TapuTapu features, which will give guests even more freedom to enjoy themselves, including:

  • Locker Access – guests will be able to access their lockers with just a touch from their TapuTapu
  • TapTu Pay – guests no longer have to carry their watches, as they can make their purchases throughout the park with their wearable
  • TapTu Snap/My Universal Photo Access – guests can enjoy special photo opportunities in Volcano Bay, as their TapuTapu will sync with photos they take at My Universal Photo locations, allowing them to purchase pictures at their convenience

In order to best utilize all of TapuTapu’s features, guests are urged to make an account online, through Universal Orlando’s official website, or the Official Universal Orlando Resort app.
