Three new characters have been added to the line-up at Star Wars Weekends this year. I guess you could say they’re old characters, but in new costumes.
New this year are Leia Minnie, Stormtooper Donald and Darth Goofy. Jedi Mickey will still be there. (Donald may appear bit fatter than he looks in the statue below.)
Star Wars Weekends takes place every Friday, Saturday and Sunday in June at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

SeaWorld Orlando will be rockin’ the night away from May 24 to Sept. 1, as Shamu Rocks, Mystify and Sea Lions Tonight return and a new lakeside ski show is added. And to add to the rock ‘n’ roll theme, DJs will be spinning the tunes at different areas around the park.
• Shamu Rocks – A rock n roll concert combining improvisational movements of killer whales with music remixed with some of the hottest rock stars in the industry.
Hydro – An all-new nighttime, lakeside show where skiing meets soaring. From Bayside Stadium guests will see a concert where the performers are skiers and the water’s the stage. Stunt kites towed by Wave Runners will perform maneuvers while trailing fireworks in the sky.
(EDIT: I’ve just been informed the name of the ski show will not by Hydro. The name will be Bayside Ski Jam.)
• Sea Lions Tonight – SeaWorld’s popular sea lion comedy duo takes the laughs into the night. Hilarious hijinks ensue in this evening show as the park’s sea lions, otters and walrus parody other favorite SeaWorld shows.
• Mistify – Fireworks, flames and fountains fill the night during the ending nighttime spectacular that is best seen along The Waterfront.
We were able to ride The Simpsons Ride at Universal Studios today during technical rehearsals. Below are a sampling of photos from the attraction. Look for a full photo gallery after the grand opening on May 15. [Read more…]
