World of Chima coming to Legoland Florida featuring new interactive ride, 4D movie and more

Early this morning, Legoland Florida announced the latest expansion to their park. The World of Chima will be opening this July. Based “Legends of Chima,” the fantastical world presented by Cartoon Network features an interactive water ride experience, the Quest for CHI, the action-filled Speedorz Arena, meet and greets and even a new 4D movie.

Adventure Island and Legoland Florida water parks now open for the season

Both Adventure Island Water Park near Busch Gardens and Legoland Florida Water Park are now open for the season. Legoland Florida’s Water Park has added twice as many Lego bricks and more (below) since its debut last year. Adventure Island offers guests a chance to relax in a tropical Key West setting.

Limited Time Magic offering a Vinylmation ‘Easter Egg’ Hunt next week at Epcot

As a part of Disney’s Limited Time Magic campaign, Epcot will be hosting a special “Easter Egg” Hunt next week. From March 18 through 24, guests will be able to search for hidden eggs themed to Disney Characters at the park and record their findings on special themed maps.

Baby aardvark and Southern ground hornbills born at Busch Gardens Tampa

Busch Gardens Tampa recently welcomed three new residents to the park. A baby aardvark was born on Feb. 6, 2013 and two baby Southern ground hornbills where hatched on Feb. 15 and 19. Disney World to begin offering plastic RFID enabled annual passes instead of paper

Starting March 20, 2013, Disney’s Annual Passholders may trade in their paper tickets for new, more durable, plastic passes. These passes include an RFID chip, which will allow passholders to enter Disney’s theme parks using the new touch to enter locations that replaced the old turnstiles.

Downtown Disney to become Disney Springs over the next three years

Downtown Disney as it is known today, along with the Downtown Disney name will be going away over the next three years. Disney Springs will fully spring to life in 2016, adding more shopping, dining and entertainment amid open-air promenades, meandering springs and waterfront charm.
