The newest Disney On Ice show, Road Trip Adventures, officially begins its tour September 6 at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. This new show will feature characters from Toy Story 4, the live action versions of Aladdin and The Lion King, Moana, Frozen and for the first time ever, Mary Poppins Returns!
Disney On Ice presents Road Trip Adventures also offers never before done acts and guest moments. Four aerial artists will take to the sky in death-defying acts hanging over the ice. Guests will also be taken on the ice in the Magic Mobile as it is driven by Mickey Mouse and friends. By the end of the show there will have been more guests on the ice than performers.
Premiering in Orlando on Friday, September 6, 2019, the 2-year, 60-city tour includes stops at major arenas in Miami, Atlanta, Philadelphia and New York City in 2019, followed by Boston, Chicago and Dallas in 2020.
Through magical storytelling and shared live experiences, families and friends will journey together alongside their show tour guides as their memories are captured to form a scrapbook of adventures on video screens integrated into the set. My person review is that this scrapbook idea is a genius way to allow the tech teams to setup the next act without having dead periods in the show. Each new story seamlessly came out with the use of the moving screens that are their own version of a curtain. For a two hour show the action never seemed to stop.
Tickets are available now at Disney On Ice! Check out a previous episode of Attractions The Show to see how these performers train for six weeks to get into shape for a two hour ice performance.
The Walt Disney Archives is set to return to D23 Expo 2019, and this time with an all-new exhibit: “Walt Disney Archives Presents Heroes and Villains: The Art of the Disney Costume.”

“Mary Poppins” is renowned for its iconic and award-winning soundtrack, written by Disney Legends Richard and Robert Sherman. The brothers pushed their limits, inventing words and tongue twisters to bring the story to life.

There’s a lot of intrigue surrounding the upcoming Disney live-action sequel “Mary Poppins Returns,” including veteran actor Dick Van Dyke. In the original film, Van Dyke portrays Bert, a jack of all trades, from street artist to chimney sweep.
This go-around, he’s reprising a much smaller character – and it’s making people cry.
