Best places to watch Harmonious fireworks show around World Showcase Lagoon at Epcot

Epcot’s new 50th anniversary nighttime spectacular, Harmonious, is one of the largest Epcot fireworks spectaculars ever created. This show features four large “taco” barges and one center ring barge. These barges feature large LED screens, fountains, and lights. While it is fairly easy to see the fireworks from all around World Showcase Lagoon, the center ring barge’s main screen can only be seen from particular angles. So, where is the best spot to watch this brand new fireworks, fountain, and projection show? We took photos from each World Showcase country at Walt Disney World to find out.

Best spots to watch Harmonious at Epcot.
Harmonious viewing from World Showcase Plaza.

An ideal location is located right at the entrance to World Showcase, at World Showcase Plaza. This area does get crowded very quickly, but it offers minimal trees, lamps, or torches to block your view. It also has quicker access to leave the park after the show.

Harmonious views near the Mexico pavilion.

Walking into Mexico, you will have another location with clear open views. The standing area is smaller though, so it will go from open to very busy with just a few guests.

Harmonious viewing at Mexico Pavilion.

In Mexico, standing right next to La Cantina de San Angel, you will have this view. Looking at the dead center of the image, you can see one of the smaller “taco” barges slightly covers your view of the main ring barge. This area could be good for you if you arrive early and gets a seat at the quick service location, for dinner and a show.

Partially obstructed views in Norway.

In Norway, standing in front of Anna and Elsa’s Royal Sommerhus, you will be able to see three “taco” barges and a partial view of the main ring. This area has very few trees, which makes it easier to watch the fireworks above, even if you are farther back in the crowd.

Harmonious views in between the China and Norway pavilion.

In between China and Norway, you will have lost visuals completely on the main ring barge. But, you can still see three of the “taco” barges. And, as showcased here, they do have differing visuals during the show, so its not always the same footage on each screen.

Obstructed barge viewing in China pavilion.

Standing in the China pavilion, you will have smaller crowds, but also larger visual obstructions. The island will block a majority of your view of the barges, but the fireworks can still be seen from above the trees.

Bad views from Outpost area of Harmonious.

The Outpost area does not offer great views. It is farther away form the barges, making it harder to see the screens. The show is also majorly blocked by the island. But crowds in this area are minimal. If you just want a less crowded spot and are OK with limited visuals of the show and fireworks, this may be a good location.

Germany pavilion views of the nighttime spectacular.

Entering the Germany pavilion, you will once again have good visuals of the “taco” barges, and can see a slight view of the main ring barge again. This area, as seen above, does have some trees. But, if you arrive a bit earlier, you will be in front of them, negating this visual barrier.

The Italy pavilion offers one of the most ideal locations for viewing Harmonious. But this spot, as seen above, is also rented out fairly often for dessert parties. There are still some limited spots that will be free, even during an event, but be warned that some nights, this spot will have significantly less options up close. This location also gives a great view of Spaceship Earth, which will light up upon the show ending.

The American Adventure pavilion Harmonious viewing has numerous trees.

Standing outside of the American Adventure pavilion has some spots, but there are numerous trees blocking the view. Those up-close can get a fairly good view, and will be able to see multiple “taco” barges as well as the main ring.

Second floor viewing of Harmonious.

While more limited in standing room, there is second floor viewing in the Japan pavilion. You can head up the stairs, above the Mitsukoshi Department Store, standing outside of the Tokyo Dining restaurant. The red Torii gate structure will block some view of the barges. But this area allows for seating on the steps, and usually less crowding. It also offers excellent views of the fireworks.

Torii gate blocks the view at the Japan pavilion.

Standing ground level in the Japan pavilion will place the red Torii gate right in front of you. It is a gorgeous structure, but some may not like it blocking the views. As seen here, this view will give partial views of the barges and fireworks.

The Morocco boat dock blocks most of the barges.

The Morocco pavilion boat dock does not offer good views of the barges. But crowding is here is minimal, similar to the Outpost area. Firework viewing is ample, but overall this would not be an ideal spot if you wanted to watch every part of the show.

Harmonious viewing from France.

The France pavilion offers viewing of the “taco” barges and open views of the fireworks. A small island does block views of the main ring barge.

Water level viewing near France pavilion.

The water level viewing, right outside of the France pavilion, also offers views of the “taco” barges and fireworks. The small island still partially blocks viewing. This area, on occasion, will be rented out for dessert parties. But its a fairly good view, and is within close proximity for those leaving Epcot afterwards on the Disney Skyliner or boats back to their resort hotels.

Elevated Harmonious viewing in between France and United Kingdom pavilions.

The bridge in between the France and United Kingdom pavilion offers an elevated viewing of the show. This view offers clear viewing of at least one “taco” barge, but is directly to the side of the main ring barge. You will not be able to see the main visuals on the large ring barge. This area is usually one of the most crowded areas in World Showcase during the show.

Trees block some fireworks in the United Kingdom pavilion.

Standing in the United Kingdom pavilion, right outside of the Rose and Crown restaurant, offers views of most of the “taco” barges, and a slight view of the main ring barge. Trees block some firework viewing for those farther back. But those up front will get obstruction free viewing of the show.

Canada Harmonious viewing.

Canada offers mostly obstruction free viewing. But one of the “taco” barges blocks the main ring. Large rock work along with fence line will also take away some viewing locations.

Secondary Harmonious viewing.

The area between the Canada pavilion and the entrance to World Showcase offers partially blocked views. But this area has lots of room to move around. It also has extra tables during events, allowing for spots to easily snack and watch the show. This area also has fairly good views of the main ring barge.

Harmonious views near Starbucks.

Slightly farther down, close to the Starbucks, trees block more of the fireworks viewing, but it becomes much easier to see the main ring barge and the “taco” barges.

Wide open views near World Showcase Plaza.

The Canada and World Showcase entrance boat dock offers excellent viewing of the main ring barge and most of the “taco” barges. As seen above, this area is very crowded, but is one of the best possible spots to see all of the effects of the show.

Firework Viewing for Guests with Disabilities

ADA viewing for guests with wheelchairs.

Disney also offers first-come, first-served locations reserved for guests in wheelchairs and their families. These areas are located in the World Showcase Plaza, in the Germany pavilion, and in between the Canada and United Kingdom pavilions. These locations offer good viewing, but can fill up. Because the show features numerous screens and fountain effects that are at water level, it is important to get those in wheelchairs as close to railings as possible. The bridge in between the France and United Kingdom pavilion, while not a designated area, does offer good viewing as well because it is elevated.
