To celebrate World Autism Awareness Month, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is welcoming a new friend!

Julia is an autistic four-year-old girl from Sesame Street who loves playing with her friends Elmo and Abby Cadabby. To celebrate her arrival and in honor of Autism Awareness Month, Busch Gardens will host a sensory-friendly showing of “Let’s Play Together” on April 13-14 at 10 a.m. After the show, Julia will walk around and meet with guests in the audience. Families can also take home free Sesame Street storybooks featuring Julia.

Sesame Workshop developed “Sesame Street and Autism: See Amazing in All Children,” with content featuring Julia, to help families with autism and promote the uniqueness of all kids. Sesame Place, Busch Gardens Tampa’s sister park, offers regular visits from Julia. Like SeaWorld Orlando, Aquatica and Discovery Cove, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is looking to join its fellow parks as a Certified Autism Center in the future.
