A lot of the model train track at the Germany pavilion at Epcot has been taken up. But don’t worry, the train will be back on new track soon.
Some Internet sites were reporting the train was going away. In fact, they did remove the exhibit soon after they first installed it, but they received so many complaints from guests, they gave it a permanent home at Epcot.
But there are two reasons for the recent removal of track. One is for a refurbishment for the upcoming Flower & Garden Festival, and two, to keep the squirrels from knocking the trains over.
It seems guest relations was always having to call someone because squirrels were knocking the trains off the tracks. So they’re installing a new magnetized track to help keep the trains running for all to enjoy.
