‘Circle of Flavors’ nighttime dining experience coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom

A new nighttime dining adventure honoring endangered African animals and the story of “The Lion King” is coming soon to Disney’s Animal Kingdom – Circle of Flavors: Harambe at Night.

UPDATE – 07/19/19: A new Kilimanjaro Safaris virtual reality (VR) experience has been added to Circle of Flavors! After you enjoy the reception at the train station in Harambe, you’ll climb aboard the train and ride to Rafiki’s Planet Watch.

Here, you’ll have the chance to try out a VR 360 safari experience, exclusively available during Circle of Flavors: Harambe at Night.


The journey begins with a reception at the Wildlife Express Train Station, and then a train ride to the station at Rafiki’s Planet Watch, followed by a stop at Harambe Market. Throughout the night, guests will enjoy the sights, sounds, and flavors that celebrate “The Lion King” and the Big Five game animals: the African elephant, the rhinoceros, the Cape buffalo, the leopard, and the lion. Guests will learn more about how important the Big Five are, the challenges they face around the world, and how Disney is working to protect them.

Kicking things off at the train station, guests can enjoy light hors d’oeuvres, snacks, and beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, while listening to acoustic music before riding the train over to Rafiki’s Planet Watch.

Once there, more light bites and sips will be waiting, as well as character encounters in the train station with Timon and Rafiki and interactive activities for all ages. After finishing up at Rafiki’s Planet Watch, guests will hop back on the train and travel to Harambe Market. A variety of dishes paired with unique beverages will be available throughout the marketplace.

Circle of Flavors: Harambe at Night begins on July 24, 2019 at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Admission to the event is $125 plus tax for adults and $99 plus tax for children ages 3-9 and separate park admission is required.

Reservations can be made starting April 3 by calling (407) WDW-DINE or online through the Walt Disney World Resort Dining Page.

Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members can receive early access to reservations starting today, April 2, by calling the phone number above. No discounts will be available for this offering, and the Disney Dining Plan cannot be used to attend.
