Disney California Adventure

At Disney California Adventure park, Disney/Pixar’s Academy Award-winning film “Coco” will be the centerpiece for Plaza de la Familia, a limited-time festivity at Paradise Gardens.

Families who visit the area can share memories of loved ones at the interactive Memory Wall, take part in the Mexican Árbol de la Vida (Tree of Life) photo location, and participate in the new mask-making craft that depicts an alejibre (spirit guide) from “Coco.” Guests will also be able to enjoy Mariachi music performed on the bandstand, and a Mexican food menu offered at Paradise Gardens Grill.

Over in Cars Land, guests can visit an ofrenda (a remembrance altar) that pays tribute to Doc Hudson, otherwise known as the Fabulous Hudson Hornet. You can pay your respects in Ramone’s House of Body Art, right on Route 66!

Disneyland Park

Over in Disneyland Park, Zócalo Park in Frontierland will be decked out with a colorful display in honor of Día de los Muertos. This display will feature marigolds and papel picado throughout the installation, along with a traditional ofrenda, calaveras (sugar skulls), a figure of La Catrina and yummy food at the nearby Rancho del Zócalo.
