Disneyland’s “it’s a small world” Mall will undergo refurbishment this spring.

The “it’s a small world” Mall is going under refurbishment this month at Disneyland Park in Anaheim, Calif.

Now that the attraction has begun its transition from its holiday overlay to its original version, work has begun on its promenade. The location of the ride’s queue will be moved, and the area will receive a new parade route entrance and a new stroller area. This allows for guests to travel through the “it’s a small world” area more easily.

The Mall outside of the classic attraction is a popular area for guests visiting Disneyland. It provides access to “it’s a small world,” as well as a pathway to Mickey’s Toontown and Fantasyland Theatre and more. The adjusted parade route will also make more room for the new ride queue, giving guests more space in the area.

“it’s a small world” Holiday is closed as of today, Jan. 22, to complete its transition back to the original version of the attraction, and will reopen on Feb. 2. The changes to the Mall area are expected to be completed this spring, when “Pixar Play Parade” steps off on the new parade route during Pixar Fest, which starts on April 13.
