“Christmas is a very special time of year at Dixie Stampede,” said David Swangel, General Manager of Dixie Stampede in Pigeon Forge. “While our thrilling, high-spirited adventure provides fun for our guests, we also take time to celebrate the meaning of Christmas thanks to a full-scale, living Nativity. Families always take the time to let us know this show has become a treasured part of their yearly traditions.”

Guests will be able to see the birth of Jesus re-enacted with Mary, Joseph, the three wise men and a living Nativity with donkeys, camels and sheep. Families can also enjoy “Toys Come to Life,” a musical starring The Sugar Plum Fairy and other toys she brings to life with an aerial display set to the music of “The Nutcracker.”

The 32 horses that star in the Dixie Stampede will challenge each other in barrel races and other competitions, and the audience could even be called in to help cheer their side to victory. Santa will arrive in his sleigh to the festivities during the show, as the arena is transformed into a winter wonderland with fresh, fallen snow. The show will also have a state-of-the-art LED wall backdrop as part of the show’s 35,000-square-foot arena to compliment the holiday scenery.

The show’s Christmas Dinner, will include Dixie Stampede’s signature four-course meal, including their original creamy vegetable soup, homemade buttery biscuit, a whole rotisserie chicken, hickory-smoked barbequed pork loin, corn on the cob, herb-basted potato, the show’s specialty dessert and unlimited drinks. Vegetarian meals are also available upon a guest’s request.

Guests are invited to begin their evenings at the Stampede by visiting the Dixie Belle Saloon, which boasts holiday comedy and classic songs with a twist by the house band, Mountain Ruckus. The band performs one hour prior to show time.
