Dollywood’s Splash Country is offering new park upgrades for the summer season.

With Dollywood’s Splash Country now open once again for its 18th season, the water park is offering new park upgrades, new entertainment and food offerings.

Guests will find new landscaping, paint and theming in Splash Country, as well as new lounge chairs throughout the park this season. Guests can also enjoy Luxury Loungers, Retreats and Canopies for comfort and shade from the sunshine.

The water park has also made improvements to its wait times, including self-serve ticket kiosks and new TimeSaver H20 options, which can help guests save 90 percent of their ride wait time.

“We love combing through guest feedback and delivering solutions to those requests,” said Janet Dawson, general manager for Splash Country. “This season we’re pleased we can provide so much added value including Platinum TimeSaver H20, new shade structures over queue lines, and new aquatic wheelchairs.”

The water park is also adding aquatic wheelchairs and adult changing tables for families to use this summer season, to help make Splash Country fun for everyone.

“Our lifeguards and hosts can’t wait to welcome guests back to Dollywood’s Splash Country in 2018,” said Dawson. “We are so proud of the work we accomplished in the off-season and we know our guests are going to love the upgrades, too.”

Another new offering this season is Too Hot Tuesdays, which will feature a DJ on the wave pool deck from noon – 3 p.m., now through June 26. Guests can dance to family-friendly summer hits and take part in interactive games during the experience.

When mealtime approaches, guests can enjoy new offerings at the rethemed Trailhead Tacos, which offers a Tex-Mex menu, or other venues’ new menu items. This year will bring new offerings like Loaded Tots, a Cookie Dough Dream-flavored gourmet milkshake, and a new BeaverTail flavor featuring MoonPie. Guests can cool down and refresh with new Coca-Cola Freestyle machines, as well.

Dollywood’s Splash Country is now open, and will continue daily operation through Sunday, Aug. 12. After that, the park will be open Tuesdays, Thursdays and weekends through Labor Day on Sept. 3.
