The seasonal Fifth Avenue window display, visible only to Empire State Building tenants and Observatory visitors on their exit, features 3D Lego models of various Star Wars sets, including the AT-AT, Snowspeeder, The Child, The Razor Crest, Sith TIE Fighter, Poe Dameron’s X-wing Fighter, and the Millennium Falcon – all placed in a winter wonderland with LED lighting.

The window will also feature geometric shapes and textures, as well as a video screen that plays celebratory Lego Star Wars holiday scenes.

For the first time, the Empire State Building will also celebrate the holiday season with an opportunity for family portraits. From Nov 30 – Dec. 4, guests can make the iconic building the backdrop of their 2020-2021 holiday card. After purchasing a premium ticket to the 102nd floor Observatory, guests will pick a time to have their professional photo taken on the Grand Staircase in the Observatory lobby. Tickets can be purchased here.

“We are thrilled to be reopened and a part of New Yorkers’ holiday plans this year – there is no better time to visit the world-famous Empire State Building,” said Jean-Yves Ghazi, president of the Observatory. “With our $165 million reimagined Observatory Experience and new safety protocols which includes reduced capacity and timed ticketing, guests are welcome to experience the joy of the holiday season from the heart of New York City.”

Throughout the holiday aseason, the Empire State Building will be adorned with holiday decorations and tower lights that will light up the city skyline to celebrate Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve. You can check out the full tower light schedule here.
